Another Soul Promise: No Price Increase On Tickets

Philadelphia, PA (August 6, 2008) - In the wake of its Arena Football League championship and City Hall celebration last week, the Philadelphia Soul announced that they will not raise ticket prices for the 2009 season.

Additionally, in commemoration of the 59-56 title game victory over the San Jose SaberCats, the Soul is offering a new $59 season ticket, a 35 per cent discount off the upper level $90 season ticket, which currently remains an offer and was the most inexpensive season ticket last season.

"We've turned the corner in the eyes of Delaware Valley fans and families," offered Rich Lisk, the Soul General Manager. "Most teams raise ticket prices after a championship season. We're not going to do that. We're smart enough to know that the entertainment value we offer for the ticket price is key to our popularity. The coaches and players did their part on the field and brought home the trophy. Now, we're doing our part in the front office."

The Soul's run to the title was their third consecutive playoff season and the most successful for fan support since its inaugural campaign with four home game sellouts and an average attendance of 16,477. The team finished with a 16-3 record, including 9-1 at the Wachovia Sports Complex.

Majority co-owners Jon Bon Jovi and Craig Spencer along with team president and co-owner Ron Jaworski acquired several free agent stars in the offseason and the team fulfilled their championship expectations with the league's top-rated offense and a defense and special teams that delivered big plays throughout the season.

The $59 ticket also comes with a commemorative Virgin Mobile ArenaBowl XXII Matt D'Orazio autographed picture. The tickets can be purchased by calling 888-PHIL-AFL. Further information is available at www.philadelphiasoul.com.

The Soul celebrated their fifth anniversary this season with an ArenaBowl XXII championship. The Soul drew a total of 131,817 fans this season, their largest number since their inaugural season of 2004. Since their inception, the Soul have drawn a total of 646,043 fans, the most in the AFL over that time frame. Following the 2007 season, the Soul were recognized with the Commissioner's Award as the Organization of the Year and were an honorable mention for the PRISM Award in the category of fan appreciation.
