Esks going green, seeing red for Labour Day series

(Edmonton) The Edmonton Eskimos will sport a new look for a good cause on Monday in the Labour Day Classic and for The Rematch next Friday at Commonwealth Stadium. In celebration of the club's 60th season, the Esks will take to the field in a special edition green helmet that will feature the iconic double "E" logo and green facemask.. A limited number of helmets will be auctioned off online with the proceeds going to the Eskimo Women's Dinner in support of ovarian cancer research at the Lois Hole Hospital in Edmonton. .

Autographed helmets from Ricky Ray, A.J. Harris, Siddeeq Shabazz, Tristan Jackson, Kamau Peterson, Shannon Garrett, Dario Romero and Noel Prefontaine will be offered during the online auction which will begin Thursday, September 4.

Auction details to be announced Wednesday, September 3.

The Eskimos (5-3) travel to Calgary to face the Stampeders (5-3) on Monday, September 1st for the 2008 Labour Day Classic at McMahon Stadium.
