Pettis led the team in receiving with a career-high 13 receptions for 118 yards and four touchdowns while also scoring a rushing touchdown on a two-yard run and threw a three-yard touchdown pass to Anthony Armstrong for the second consecutive week, accounting for six total touchdowns overall. He also tied for the team-lead in tackles with six.
For the season, Pettis leads the team offensively with 91 receptions for 992 yards (10.9 avg.) and 24 touchdowns while he is second on the team with eight rushes for 34 yards (4.3 avg.) and five touchdowns and has completed two-of-two passes for six yards with two touchdowns. Pettis has also returned 43 kickoffs for 741 yards (17.2 avg.) and is fifth on the team with 22.5 tackles, two interceptions and four pass breakups on defense.
Pettis has won Ironman of the Week 10 times in his career and four times this season, including: Week Three against Colorado (3/17), Week Seven against New Orleans (4/12), Week 13 at Orlando (5/23) and Week 14 at Cleveland (5/31).
The Desperados return to action on Saturday, June 7 when they host the Philadelphia Soul (10-3) for an Eastern Divisional game at the American Airlines Center. The game will be available locally in Dallas on Metro Sports Time Warner Cable - Channel 185 as well as on ESPN360.com and AFL Net.
