Eskimos add three, release three

(Edmonton) The Edmonton Eskimos have signed free agent import wide receivers Jermaine Jamison, Mike Mason and Greg Prator, the club announced today.

Jamison played 52 games over four seasons at Fresno State, leaving with 124 receptions for 1562 yards and 10 touchdowns. His senior year he played in all 13 games and recorded 38 receptions for 475 yards and four touchdowns. He attended training camp with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2006 and the Philadelphia Eagles in 2007. The Eagles allocated Jamison to the NFL Europe's Frankfurt Galaxy where he caught 16 passes for 216 yards and one touchdown, 11 kickoff returns for 202 yards and seven special teams tackles.

Mason spent three seasons at North Carolina before transferring to Tennessee State for his final year. He led Tennessee State in receiving with 31 catches for 322 yards, despite missing three games with a knee injury. He also averaged 31.3 yards on kick returns. He played 35 games for North Carolina and finished in the top four in receptions each of his three seasons. He also led the team in kickoff returns his first two seasons.

Prator played two seasons at Chaffey College before transferring to Washington State for his final two seasons. He played 20 games for the Cougars at receiver and kick returner. His senior year he had seven receptions for 132 yards and two touchdowns.

The Eskimos also announced that non-imports Rhett McLane (OL), J.F. Romeo (WR) and Mike Lindstrom (WR) have been released.

The Eskimos open training camp on June 1 at Clarke Stadium. They travel to Calgary for the first pre-season game on June 13 at 7:00pm and return home for the second pre-season game on June 19 vs. Saskatchewan at 7:00pm.
