Trio Leads Lions' Air Attack

COLUMBUS, GA- Midway through their inaugural season in the American Indoor Football Association, the Columbus Lions (5-2) have been led by the trio of Gerald Gales, Anthony Merritt, and Silas Daniels leading the air attack to the league's number one passing offense.

The trio has comprised to lead the Lions air attack to the number one total offense in yards with 1789 as the three have combined to contribute 97% of those passing yards. All three are tied for second in the league collecting 12 receiving touchdowns a piece helping the Lions to the number one red zone offense in the AIFA.

Gerald Gales has been leading the trio as he tops the AIFA in receptions with 51 and second in yards with 613. Averaging 7 receptions per game, Gales leads the Lions in scoring and is second in all purpose yards with 712 yards.

Anthony Merritt has been a close second as he is second in the league with 50 receptions and third in yards with 602. Merritt leads the Lions in all purpose yards with 756 yards and even has added two passing touchdowns of his own.

Recently named IndoorFootballFan.com's offensive player of the week, Silas Daniels has been the clubs top deep threat leading the club with 15.7 yards per catch. In his last game, Daniels caught 5 touchdowns leading the Lions over the Stingrays in Week 8.

"Getting the ball in our playmakers hand is our top priority," says Head Coach Jason Gibson. "It makes it easy on me as a coach to have 3 different outlets that we can rely on in any situation."
