Lions Secure Four Members of Class of 2008

(Vancouver) The BC Lions announced today that four members of the team's 2008 draft class have signed contracts with the club. In keeping with club policy, terms of the deals were not released.

"We have established a very good track record of drafting players that can come in and help our club in their first season and we anticipate these young men will do likewise," said Lions' GM and head coach Wally Buono.

Linebacker Jason Arakgi, defensive lineman Justin Shaw, defensive back Brady Browne and offensive lineman Hubert Buydens will make their Black and Orange debut at BC Lions Rookie Camp slated for Thursday, Friday and Saturday (May 29th, 30th, and 31st) in Abbotsford.

The Lions also announced that three local junior players will get their first taste of a pro camp as Brent Rintoul (Vancouver Trojans), Andrew Harris (Vancouver Island Raiders) and David Bosch (Chilliwack Huskers) take the field this week with the rest of the Lions first year prospects.
