Full Slate Of Events Keeps Omaha Beef Involved In The Community This Week

Omaha, NE - The Omaha BEEF indoor football team is involved in many events in the coming days. This afternoon and evening, at Indigo Joe's, the BEEF will be sponsoring the "Cow Tipping with the BEEF" fund raiser. The event is to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and lasts from 3 to 9 PM.

Omaha BEEF players will be serving food as the dance team bartends for the crowd. Fun and games will be available in the parking lot courtesy of BoBo's Bouncy Town and the Rump Roasters, the BEEF's all male dance team. Donations will be accepted and Indigo Joe's is donating a portion of the day's receipts to the event.

On May 16th at LaVista West, the Omaha BEEF football team will help the staff and parents honor those that have participated in their Mile Walk Club throughout the school year. Sirloin will be there handing out the awards and two BEEF staff members will be in attendance as well. This marks the second event in which the BEEF have paired up with LaVista West, with the previous dealing with staying active and healthy (Family Fitness Night on April 17) in conjunction with the "Get Lean with the BEEF" program.

"Get Lean with the BEEF" is in its first year and has had continued growth throughout the season. The program looks to finish the season strong with a final event on May 22nd at Springfield Elementary.

Also on May 16th the BEEF will be at Mount View Elementary School. The team has been graciously invited to attend the Mount View Elementary Career Enrichment Day on May 16th. There will be many different professionals from around the metro area along with the BEEF.

Sales and Marketing Director Colby Laughhunn and Diezeas Calbert will represent the BEEF at this event. Laughhunn will discuss his position with the BEEF while Calbert will discuss his season as a defensive back for the BEEF and his position as a credit manager at Wells Fargo Bank and how he balances both.

Laughhunn looks forward to the event. "It is always fun to go to the schools. It is important to reach out to the children and show them that there are many career opportunities in the sporting world, and to let them know everything that the Omaha BEEF does as a team."

Saturday, May 17th will see the Omaha BEEF Football Camp for kids. The camp, which runs from 10 AM until noon, will be at the Omaha Civic Auditorium. Children will receive instruction from the players during the camp and attend that night's BEEF game against the Billing's Outlaws.

Prior to the game, the team eats their team meal at the Texas Roadhouse at 156th and Dodge Streets. The meal begins at 2:30 PM and goes until 4:30 PM. Fans are encouraged to attend.

The post-game party with the team, dancers, and Rump Roasters is at Side Pockets bar and grill. The party starts immediately following the game and everyone is encouraged to attend.

The final event of the weekend will bring the Omaha BEEF to the Omaha Bobcat's Football Golf Tournament. The event benefits the Bobcat's Football program. The BEEF are sponsoring the tenth hole and giving away prizes.

Prime Dancers, as well as Rump Roasters and Ball Babes, will be attending the event. A shotgun start takes place at 1:30 PM at the Knolls golf course located at 120th and Maple Streets.

The BEEF have had continued growth throughout the community this season with events at the Open Door Mission, Meet and Greet Events, in addition to visiting many schools and donating time to many other charities.
