Germaine, who is in his third season with the Blaze, finished the game by completing 24-of-30 (80.0%) of his passes for 337 yards, eight touchdowns and one interception. He also recorded a nine-yard touchdown run. So far this season, Germaine has completed 272-of-395 passes (68.9%) for a league-leading 3,148 yards and 64 touchdowns.
Other Offensive Player of the Week candidates included: Cleveland QB RAYMOND PHILYAW, FB MARLION JACKSON and WR OTIS AMEY, Chicago QB RUSS MICHNA and WR TRAVIS LATENDRESSE, Colorado QB JOHN DUTTON and WR AARON HOSACK, Dallas WR MARCUS NASH, Georgia QB CHRIS GREISEN and WR TORY BERGERON, Orlando WR T.T. The Blaze will host the JOHN ELWAY-owned Colorado Crush at the EnergySolutions Arena this Saturday, May 10 at 7 p.m. The game will be shown locally on KJZZ-14 with DAVE FOX and ALEMA HARRINGTON serving as talent, while the game can be heard on 1320 KFAN with SCOTT GARRARD and KEITH EMBRAY calling the action.
