Geico Albany Office Presents Memorial Day Weekend Bash

ALBANY, NY - The Albany Conquest announced today their 3rd Annual Battle of the Bones "Best Ribs of Albany" competition presented by Geico Albany Office will be held this Friday as part of the pre-game block party at the Times Union Center.

This Friday, May 23rd, the action on South Pearl Street before kickoff will be almost as intense as the battle on the field between Albany and Manchester. From 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm area restaurants will be serving up their finest and duking it out for the right to be crowned "Best Ribs of Albany." Fans will get to sample ribs from such establishments as The Sports Grill, Broadway Joe's of Albany, Chili's and PJ Bar-B-Q and their votes will decide the victor. The winner will be announced at halftime and presented the Battle of the Bones trophy on the field. The pre-game block party will also feature a live performance from the band Ten Year Vamp, beginning at 5:30 pm and running throughout Battle of the Bones contest.

The Conquest game against the Manchester Wolves will kickoff at 7:00 pm inside the Times Union Center, but fans are encouraged to stay after the game for the post-game autograph session on the field with the players before heading over to Broadway Joe's for the official Conquest Post-Game Party immediately following the game.

The Conquest are getting ready for another important East Division confrontation with the Manchester Wolves on Friday, May 23rd at the Times Union Center. Kickoff is set for 7:00 pm as Albany looks to win their second-straight game against Manchester, as well as to improve to 4-2 against East Division opposition in 2008.

Partial season ticket packages and individual game tickets are now on sale for the remainder of the 2008 Albany Conquest regular season. For more information please contact the Conquest at (518) 487-2244 or online at www.albanyconquest.com.
