Stamps Add Three

The Calgary Stampeders have added non-import receiver Jabari Arthur, import defensive back Lenny Walls and import quarterback Willie Copeland to the practice roster.

Arthur was drafted by the Stampeders in the first round (sixth overall) of the 2007 Canadian Football League draft. He spent 2007 with the Akron University Zips and caught 86 passes for 1,171 yards and 10 touchdowns in 12 games.

Walls played in five games with the St. Louis Rams in 2007. The Boston College product has spent time with four different National Football League teams and was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Denver Broncos in 2002.

Copeland is a six-foot-three, 212-pound quarterback from Valdosta State. He recently had tryouts with the New York Giants and Miami Dolphins before joining the Stamps.

The next Stampeders home game is Monday, Oct. 13 at 2:30 p.m. against the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Tickets are going quickly for the Thanksgiving Classic and fans are encouraged to call Ticketmaster at 403.777.0000 or visit Ticketmaster.ca to get their tickets before they're gone.
