Montreal, Sept. 3, 2008 - After registering eight tackles and an interception in the Alouettes' 30-25 win over the BC Lions at home last Friday night, Montreal cornerback Mark Estelle has been named the CFL's Defensive Player of the Week.
Estelle made one of the game's key plays as he tackled BC running back Stefan Logan a yard short of the end zone with three seconds left in the game.
So far this season, Estelle has 22 tackles, two knockdowns and an interception.
The Alouettes will play the Toronto Argonauts on Sunday, Sept. 7 at 1 p.m. at the Percival Molson Stadium (RDS/TSN/CKAC SPORTS/CJAD 800/98.5 FM).
